Why Did God Have to Create?

I understand that my understanding is slim to none in comparison to God's. But as part of His creation, I have to ask: what was the point of creating? I hope this question isn't rooted in pride because I want to know.

I don't see the point in creating when it goes rogue & You have to die for it to be separated. Does the good in humanity really outweigh the bad? Frankly, I don't see how it does.

I understand God is a creator, & creators create. But what is the point in creating if that creation is just going to be corrupted? Then, there is the whole process of redemption, Heaven & Hell, separating the sheep from the goats, trying to train humans like they're stupid & aggressive dogs who simply won't listen, then dying for them just to mock Your death--what was the point? I don't see how it could be worth it.

What was the point? I know that God's understanding is far greater than mine & His decisions are thought through all the way & more. So what was it? I doubt it was for any selfish reason, like loneliness, or that He just wanted to see Himself in another being; maybe He was bored & wanted some entertainment for a few millennia. Did He just want to create something? Technically, that would be considered selfish too, so what was it?

Wisdom Online says, "God created to express His love and to have a relationship with beings made in His image. He desired to share His goodness and love, allowing for genuine relationships through the gift of free will." From this, it could be claimed that it was selfish, but not completely. He desired to love something, but He also wanted to share. Fair enough, but was it really worth it? I want a genuine response to this, not some cliché Sunday school basic knowledge. I want an answer with some thought put behind it.

I ask this because I'm selfish. I want an answer & I'm tired of people. I want to know the point because I see none, but maybe if I knew, I wouldn't be such a stick in the mud. Maybe I would learn to have fewer issues with God's creation, because I seem to have plenty of them to go around & more.
